Midstream

Pipeline integrity and compliance verification from satellite to station.

Skyello combines satellite surveillance with mobile field inspection to monitor pipeline corridors, compressor stations, and storage terminals — detecting issues across thousands of miles of infrastructure and verifying compliance at every point of contact.

The challenge

Midstream infrastructure stretches farther than any inspection team can reach.

Midstream operations are defined by linear geography. Pipelines run hundreds or thousands of miles through remote terrain, crossing jurisdictions, easements, and environmental boundaries. Compressor stations, metering facilities, pump stations, and storage terminals are distributed along these corridors, each with its own set of regulatory obligations. Right-of-way encroachments, third-party activity near pipelines, ground movement, vegetation changes indicating subsurface leaks, and equipment degradation at facilities all require monitoring.

Traditional integrity programs rely on periodic aerial surveys, scheduled inline inspections, and manual facility walkthroughs. Between these intervals, the infrastructure is effectively unmonitored. Encroachments go undetected for months. Slow leaks develop without triggering automated alarms. Corrosion progresses between inspection cycles. The challenge isn't that operators don't know what to inspect — it's that the physical scale of the infrastructure makes continuous coverage impossible with conventional methods.

How Skyello works

Every mile monitored. Every facility verified.

01

Satellite corridor surveillance

Skyello processes satellite imagery across your entire pipeline network on a continuous cycle. The platform detects right-of-way encroachments, unauthorized third-party activity, ground subsidence and movement, vegetation anomalies indicating potential subsurface leaks, water body changes near crossings, and construction activity within buffer zones.

Every detection is geolocated, timestamped, classified by severity, and linked to the pipeline segment and regulatory jurisdiction it falls within.

Mobile field inspection

When satellite monitoring identifies an anomaly or when scheduled compliance inspections are due, field inspectors execute verification using the Skyello mobile app. Inspectors are routed to the precise GPS coordinates of the detection event or the specific asset requiring inspection.

Findings are captured with photographic evidence, GPS coordinates, timestamps, and inspector verification — all linked to the specific regulation and asset. Offline-capable for remote locations where cellular connectivity is unavailable.

Integrity and compliance integration

Skyello bridges the gap between pipeline integrity management and regulatory compliance. Satellite detections, field inspection findings, inline inspection data, and sensor readings are consolidated into a single platform where compliance status and integrity status are tracked together.

A ground movement event detected by satellite that affects a pipeline segment governed by a specific integrity management plan is automatically flagged, linked to the relevant regulatory requirement, and routed for inspection — closing the loop between detection and documented response.

Facility compliance

Compressor stations, pump stations, metering facilities, and storage terminals each carry their own regulatory obligations — emissions monitoring, equipment inspection schedules, operational parameter compliance, and safety system verification.

Skyello manages these obligations at the facility level with the same citation-backed inspection workflow used across the platform. Every facility inspection generates an audit-ready record that traces each finding to its regulatory source.

Regulatory coverage

Built for midstream regulatory complexity.

Midstream operations are governed by overlapping federal, state, and local requirements. Skyello enforces compliance across all of them — every obligation encoded with its regulatory source, every finding linked to the rule that required it.
